Scaling Smarter: How 602 Enterprises Uses commonsku To Accelerate Growth!

Anan Lagana, was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters in International Business. In 2021, while working in the investment industry, he began exploring POD services and soon he and his business partner Kevin LaLiberty decided to go all-in and founded 602 Enterprises, serving clients like The University of Florida and more!

We chatted with Anan about how commonsku has made an impact on scaling their business, he cited four main areas:

Shops Scales Growth

Shops have been a major growth driver for Anan and his business partner Kevin, doing around 30 shops in the last month alone! Anan said that shops on commonsku are centralized, easy for the customer, and save the team a lot of time compared to their previous website setup. They are especially helpful for orders where individuals pay, making the financial side easier.

The skummunity Scales Sourcing

The commonsku community (the a.k.a. The  “skummunity”) has been super helpful to Anan and his partner, especially because they were new to the promo industry and spent years "just figuring this out". Anan taps into the skummunity to help solve problems, navigate new challenges, and get different perspectives. He gave an example of using the skummunity to find a reliable contact for custom sorority hoodies requiring overseas cut and sew.

Reporting, a Life Saver!

Reporting has "saved his life every week," providing a streamlined way to get a bird's eye view of the business, allowing him to see where everything is, identify problems, and see if anything is stuck. This used to take him half his day but now takes only an hour, freeing up significant time for planning and other tasks. Anan wished he had trained himself on reporting earlier!

Production Dashboard: Crucial to Scaling

Anan loves the production dashboard and says it is the easiest way to figure out every single step of every order. It became crucial as they hit a point of scale where they could no longer keep track of every order detail in his head. The production dashboard helps tailor views by rep and track statuses and is uber helpful for team meetings and planning their week. Anan starts every morning by checking the production dashboard, "it saves internal communication and emails because everyone can see the status."

602 Enterprises vetted many software options, and as a young, tech-savvy entrepreneur, Anan even considered building his own system. He chose commonsku because it is, in his opinion, the most comprehensive offering on the market. The production management side and the QuickBooks integration were particularly crucial in what they were lacking with their previous system.

Ultimately? Anan said commonsku was a "no-brainer."

Anan’s advice for young entrepreneurs?

"Seek out mentors and ask for help earlier," he said, emphasizing that the industry, and especially the skummunity, are incredibly helpful and can dramatically accelerate learning and growth.
