Dragonfly Apparel & Branding located in Seguin, TX, was founded in 2012 as a small family-owned and operated business. It’s owner, Kellie Hernandez, ran the business with her parents, but in 2020 decided to make a change. Kellie notes, “In 2020, I officially rebranded as Dragonfly Apparel & Branding with a focus of changing the view of our company to more than your local print shop. We branched out into print and promotional products, then introduced our own line of pre printed t-shirts and accessories that are sold on wholesale marketplaces to boutiques and specialty shops throughout North America. We’re a smaller company doing about $750K a year.”

Kellie was initially shown the platform by the commonsku sales team, and after liking what she saw, decided to take the leap. The customer success team them took care of Kellie’s onboarding, and ensured she understood the ins and outs of the platform.

Kellie recalls, “both the sales and success teams were absolutely amazing!! I cheated a little and worked through commonsku on my own before my training sessions, so we were able to blast through more simple tasks and focus more on things I found intimidating like reports.” She adds, “The onboarding process was extremely organized. The flow of training from one subject to the next was impeccable. I appreciated that the sessions were recorded so that I could go back and answer questions on my own, rather than reach out to support and wait for an answer.”

Before commonsku, Kellie and Dragonfly faced communication issues when it came to their tech stack. While she would use SAGE for promotional purchase orders, she would then use Excel for decoration purchase orders and quoting, and quickbooks for accounts receivable and payable. Of course, none of these systems communicated with each other, and Kellie grew frustrated without a centralized system to house all of her tasks under one roof – until commonsku! Now, items are pushed to commonsku for quotes and estimates, purchase orders for all decorators and suppliers are emailed from commonsku, and all bills and invoices are exported from commonsku to Quickbooks.

Kellie’s advice to new commonsku users? “Take advantage of all of the resources and time with the support time you’re offered. Really invest your time into exploring and learning the platform, read the articles, watch the videos, join the webinars. That way when you show up to your onboarding, you’re set up for success.”
