Managers can now rest assured their reps have access to all available product and artwork charges, with automated pricing based on their specifications. Sales Reps can now pull a product’s decoration options effortlessly, with access to variable pricing per artwork type and optional custom fees. Production Reps can regenerate and resubmit ePOs. And finance can rest easy knowing the pricing details match.
Jon continued, “So every week, Hit will process north of 5000 decorated orders. So you have to figure we're not entering all of those instantly. There's a queue. There are humans getting involved. The biggest piece of an electronic P.O. is that your order skips the order entry queue … you instantly allocate inventory. Your (ePO) order is being worked on above the other manual orders that have to have some level of human intervention. So there's timeliness and stock allocation. Why do we have so much back and forth [between suppliers and distributors]? Because we're, if we process 5, 000 orders today, that’s 5, 000 orders that are fully customized. The ePO essentially skips the majority of that [manual QC and processing) and goes right into production … you're taking one day, maybe one-and-a-half to two days off of your [work]flow. And for us, that's just incredible.”
