Our Story
commonsku was designed and created by people who understand the challenges of the industry. Launched in 2011, commonsku was built to power RIGHTSLEEVE (now a division of Genumark), a respected promotional products agency, and evolved into a comprehensive sales and marketing tool for the industry. Today, we serve 800+ distributors and 100+ suppliers, comprising $1.8 billion+ in sales.

commonsku, Through the Years
2005
Mark and Catherine Graham build ROMAN, an internal Order Management and CRM platform to manage their distributorship RIGHTSLEEVE.
2010
Knowing other Distributors could benefit from ROMAN, we engage a design firm to reimagine the user interface and start testing with a select few distributors.
2011
We launch commonsku officially. Named after 2 important elements of the platform: community (common) and product (sku).
2012
commonsku gets an official mascot, skubot, designed by Tee Hamilton.
2014

We host our very first in-person industry education event, skucon.

skucamp, our business boot camp event, is launched in Palm Springs.

CEO
Catherine Graham is the Co-Founder and CEO of commonsku, a cloud-based CRM, order management and social collaboration platform that empowers entrepreneurial excellence. Designed for the promotional products industry by promotional products experts, commonsku makes it fun and easy to collaborate and connect with promotional products professionals. Distributors and suppliers use commonsku to share best practices, find great products, build closer relationships, and learn from industry experts and peers.
Catherine has over 15 years of experience in banking, management consulting, and growing businesses through her time at TD Bank, eBay, and A.T. Kearney. Catherine was also an owner and Managing Director at RIGHTSLEEVE, a leader in the online category of the promotional products industry, who sold to Genumark in 2019.
In her work with RIGHTSLEEVE, Catherine has been recognized as a PPB’s Best Boss and as an ASI Power 50 list honoree and she led RIGHTSLEEVE to multiple awards including ASI Distributor Entrepreneur of the Year, PPAI Web Award, and Counselor’s Best Places to Work. Under her leadership, commonsku has received two PPAI pyramid awards and twice been recognized as a PPB Best Places to Work.

Mark is the co-founder of commonsku, a business software application designed specifically for the promotional products industry. Mark is one of the founding chefs of PromoKitchen and is the host of the popular PromoKitchen podcast where he interviews industry thought leaders as well as business luminaries such as Seth Godin and Dan Pink. Recognized with multiple honors in the industry, including ASI's Distributor Entrepreneur of the Year, ASI’s Hot List, and PPAI’s Rising Stars, Mark has been featured in several major media publications (PPB, Counselor Magazine, Stitches, and Advantages). An innovative leader, Mark frequently mentors promotional entrepreneurs through writing, speaking, and training, and shares his technology expertise with promotional professionals across North America (PPAI Expo, ASI Chicago, ASI San Diego, PPPC, MAPPA, SPPA, Promo East, Partnering Group, NALC, ASI Power Summit).

Michael Armstrong is the Chief Technology Officer of commonsku, a cloud-based CRM, order management platform designed for the promotional products industry by promotional product experts (Bobby’s wording).
Michael has been at commonsku a long time, having worked alongside two successive Chief Happiness Officers. He loves software development and is very excited to be contributing to the success of the businesses using the commonsku platform. He has a fantastic development team that somehow puts up with him.
Michael brings more years of experience in software development than he cares to admit. He has worked in Canada, England and Turkey, managing development teams and projects of all sizes. He now lives part time in Istanbul (very part time) and is trying to figure out how to get chatGPT to do more of his work.

Bobby Lehew is the Chief Content Officer at commonsku, a cloud-based CRM, order management platform designed for the promotional products industry by promotional product experts. Bobby was the CEO for 15 years at Robyn, a branded products fulfillment company that specialized in private-label, e-commerce company stores. A multiple PPAI Gold Pyramid Award winner, a PPAI Silver Technology recipient, an Addy Award recipient, and recognized (in his work with Robyn) three years in a row by Inc. Magazine as one of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., Bobby is co-host of the popular podcast, skucast, and a national speaker on topics related to B2B marketing, B2B selling, and storyselling. Bobby is an ardent bibliophile who loves to explore creative insights from entrepreneurs who bridge the world between art + commerce.

With over a decade of experience in the SaaS industry, Sharron is the CFO at commonsku. Sharron brings diverse perspectives from her experience with start-ups, venture capital, private equity, and strategic acquisitions. In her previous role as the North American CFO of a leading global EHS software provider, Sharron was instrumental in the company's exit to Private Equity, built the North American FP&A function, completed multiple M&A transactions, and led the carve-out and sale of the North American business to a strategic acquirer. Additionally, her tenure at Top Hat, a Canadian founded EdTech company, saw her scale the company through Series B to D funding rounds and 10X revenue growth. Sharron started her career at PwC where she gained extensive technical expertise and experience across various industries. In her spare time, Sharron is usually found participating in children's activities with her daughter, volunteering with non-profits, exercising on her Peloton bike, or cruising in the Caribbean.

Her team calls her the glue, the conductor, the creator of magic, and the secret ingredient behind all our marketing and our events. As commonsku’s VP of Marketing, Kate has not only guided the marketing efforts but orchestrated the ops behind every event: skucon, skucamp, commonsku University, and now, successfully hosting thousands of people through our virtual experiences. Kate is passionate about community, a detail-fanatic, and possesses an incredible agility, navigating commonsku toward future-focused branding while delivering on fast, target-rich marketing execution. Whether driving sales results for the sales team, crafting another award-winning skucamp collection, or guiding the team through another successful event, she loves bridging the world of commerce and creativity. 2020 PPB Rising Star, Pyramid Award winner, and avid traveler, when she’s not planning a new place to explore, you can find her cooking meals for friends, playing board games, and spending time outdoors.

Aaron began with commonsku in the early days and with the platform’s rise and success, he grew from Manager to VP of customer success, leading a team that’s always there when you need him. Aaron remains one of the most admired team members by customers. An expert in platform proficiency and systems integration, Aaron thrives on guiding new users and advising the pros on how to scale and grow their business using the commonsku platform.

Dave Shultz is the VP of Supplier Partnerships for industry business services provider, commonsku. Focused on strategic partnerships and industry integrations, David enjoys collaborating with his industry peers to address technical challenges affecting our industry. Within the industry David sits on the board of directors for PromoCares, the board of directors for the Promotional Products Association of the Midwest (PPAM), serves as a volunteer for PromoStandards and is a member of PPAI's Awards & Recognition committee. Outside the industry David volunteers his time to the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend, an annual fundraising event that has raised over $15MM for the pediatric cancer center at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Charlie Moscoe is the VP of Product management at commonsku, bringing over 10 years of business-to-business Product Management experience to the team. With a background in design and computer science, he has worked across a wide variety of industries, with a focus on marketplace applications. Charlie combines user-centric design processes with data-driven experimentation to help commonsku's customers grow and thrive. Outside of work, Charlie loves to get out in nature, hiking in the forest or out in the back country on his snowboard.

Martha Carscadden is a People and Culture leader with over ten years of experience in the technology industry. She believes in a human-centered, flexible approach that aligns processes and culture to enable business success. She has helped scale Canadian-headquartered global companies 2.5x growth and to accolades for being some of the best employers in Canada. She is a former Steering Committee Member of the TAP Network, speaker on innovative HR, and an ardent supporter of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging in tech. She lives in Vancouver with her partner, two kids, and dog. She once won first place in a Simpsons Diorama Rama contest with a fully edible version of Homer in the Land of Chocolate.
