skucast - the official podcast of commonsku · Episode 304: A Global Vision for 2024 with Jeremy Lott (SanMar) and Jonathan Isaacson (Gemline)

At skucon in January, one of the most popular sessions featured two of the industry’s most respected thinkers: Jonathan Isaacson and Jeremy Lott.

Jonathan Isaacson is the Chairman of The Gem Group, Inc. known as Gemline. Gemline is one of the 12 largest companies in the industry. It has its primary operation in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where they are one of the largest employers, PLUS a technical facility in Shenzhen, China. Along with an 18% revenue increase, Gemline remains at the forefront of some of the most impactful advances in sustainability happening in the industry today, including one of the latest developments around product traceability, which we covered in a previous episode here on the skucast.

Jeremy Lott is the President and CEO of SanMar, and in addition to being the largest supplier in the industry with over 3.4 billion in revenue, the Wall Street Journal recognized Jeremy and the Sanmar leadership team as one of the best-managed companies alongside organizations like Apple, Microsoft, IBM, and Google.

Today, we’re sharing an episode that we recorded live from skucon where Jeremy and Jonathan answer questions from Catherine Graham, commonsku’s CEO, on a broad range of topics including: US/China relations and its impact on the supply chain, deglobalization efforts, the impact of international trade, the labor market, and a financial outlook for 2024.
